    The ink stand composed of two reclining figures representing earth and sea on hinged lid, to one side a well with ram's head to the other side a removable sand shaker in the form of a temple, lid opens to silver gilt interior. The ink stand is copied from the original made by Benvenuto Cellini for Francis I, completed in 1543.
