Marks: LFT, K (crowned), (erroneous rosette charge mark)
    1 h x 2-1/2 w x 1-7/8 d inches (2.5 x 6.4 x 4.8 cm)

The hinged, ovular box with painted budding tree on a translucent enamel over engine-turned ground to the lid, sides, and base, with white enamel filets surrounded by green enameled rope-form borders, alternating enameled panels and taille d'epargne urns to sides.

Note: The erroneous rosette mark may be imitating the charge mark of the tax fermier, Julian Alaterre (1768-1774).

Condition Report*: Light scuffing to the base, minor pitting to the filets, a few scattered light scratches to the enameled panels, otherwise with surface scratches to the gold elements indicative of age and use presents well.
