PROPERTY FROM AN AKRON, OHIO ESTATE

The tazza with spade-form rock crystal bowl engraved with scrolled foliage encircled by an enameled silver rim of palmette drops with leaf-form appliqués, grotesque masques to the spout and sides and dragon-form handle with outstretched wings and meandering tail, all enameled in white, red, and green with gold accents, standard capped with openwork gem set knop above partial gilt satyr-form figural standard with gems to the shoulders, holding a pair of partial gilt, enameled, and gem-set fish, atop a stepped circular base of rock crystal engraved with sinuous vegetal motifs and supported by an engraved, enameled, and pearl-set silver mount punctuated by four stylized dragon-form supports.





Condition Report*: Good condition and impressive presentation overall, with minor inclusions inherent to rock crystal and age and use-related wear, including a few fleabites to edge of rock crystal base, scattered rubbing and flaking to the enamel, losses to the gilding throughout, and missing pearls to rim and edge of base.
