    Inscription: THIS CUP OFFERED BY W.D. GRAND TO THE OWNER REALIZING THE HIGHEST AVERAGE FOR SIX HORSES AT THE SILVER CUP HACKNEY SALE, NEW YORK, 1902, was awarded to HON. HENRY FAIRFAX, ALDIE, VA, whose average was $862.
