From a Private Connecticut Collection

The oval hand-hammered dish on lobed feet circled by leaves with one at corner extending upward, bowl with wide shaped undulating rim decorated with anemone. Originally retailed by Spaulding & Co., Chicago, Illinois.

L. Pristo, Martelé: 950-1000 Fine - Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, 2002.
Two examples of this Vegetable Dish were created, the first in 1911 by Wendell Arnold in 57 hours and the second in 1915 by William Hughes Jr. in 45 hours, additional chasing time was approximately 43 hours. The final price was $127.50.
