    PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE SOUTHERN COLLECTION

    The baluster form vase with over-turned, undulating rim, body decorated with hand hammered and chased sprays of geraniums and foliage throughout, raised on a lobed, scrolling base with conforming motif. Retailed by Chester Billings & Son, New York.

    According to Gorham Archives, production of the vase J/KH began on October 24th, 1905 and required 35 hours to produces, plus an additional 82 hours of chasing. The final price was $206.00.




    Condition Report*: Thicked walled and buttery texture, minor nicking to the top of the lip rim as well as the body indicative of use, as well as surface scratches commensurate with age and polishing.
