    From a Midwest Estate

    The service comprising a coffee pot, teapot, sugar and creamer, each with inverted pyriform body, chased repoussé decoration of vertical curvilinear scrolls dividing panels of floral and foliate decoration continuing to hinged domed lids of tea and coffee pots with applied flower finial, undulating rims to creamer and sugar, C-form handles of acanthus leaves with thumbrest furl, all raised on shaped feet with scroll and wave design on a textured ground, teapot with m date mark, 1857-1858.

    Condition Report*: Very small crack where foot meets sugar and foot slightly out of round not sitting flush to surface plane, faint evidence of removed engraving of crest to cartouche of sugar, general surface wear throughout appropriate to age.
