Description

Engraved crest to cartouches of four-piece silver service, that of Edward Akroyd MP, JP, DL (1810-1887), IN VERITATE VICTORIA motto ribbon over stag's head proper three spear heads encircled by oak wreath.
The service comprising a covered coffee pot, covered tea pot, open sugar bowl and creamer with associated covered pitcher and two-handled tray.
Condition Report*:
Broken bone finial to coffee pot, crazing to bone handles and finials, light scratches throughout indicative of age, polishing and use, plating loss to tray surface commensurate with age and frequent use.
