    Description

A Fabergé Silver and Gem-Set Razorback Pig Bell Push, with marks for workmaster Julius Rappoport, St. Petersburg, Russia, circa 1899-1908
Marks: (left facing Kokoshnik-88-assayer's initials), (Fabergé in Cyrillic), (Imperial warrant), I.P.
    3-3/4 h x 2-5/8 w x 4-1/4 d inches (9.5 x 6.7 x 10.8 cm)
    15.4 troy ounces

The razorback pig presented as seated on hind legs, finely detailed body simulating fur, curled tail above bell pull string, upward gaze with mouth slightly agape, red garnet cabochon push to snout.

A similar pig bell push also made in Rappoport's workshop is illustrated in Sotheby's Geneva November 15, 1988 catalog, lot 168.

Condition Report*: Scuffing to underside, bell mechanism does not appear functional but retains original pull to mechanism, pull with threadbaring exposing copper wire core, otherwise presenting very well.
