    Untitled Texas Bluebonnets
    Oil on canvas
    25in. x 30in.
    Signed lower right

    An important and early Robert Wood bluebonnet painting. This painting is characterized by vigorous brushwork and rich impasto. The sense of atmosphere and the play of light against the land and trees in the distance is extraordinary.

    This painting exhibits the early "Robt. Wood" signature, and the artist, as if proud of the final product, has underlined the "W" in his name not once, but twice!

    Condition Report*: Excellent condition on original unlined canvas with no restorations. Painting would benefit from a surface cleaning.
