    From the Dan Roberts Collection

This painting, originally depicting a blonde, was published as the cover for Curves Cause Trouble by Gene Ross, Leisure Library #21, 1953. The work was subsequently published as the cover of Sweetheart With a Wreath by Michael Storme, Harborough, 1953, for which the image was manipulated to illustrate a darker haired female in a black tiara.

A copy of Sweetheart With a Wreath and two copies of Curves Cause Trouble accompany this lot.

    Condition Report*:

There appear to be a few spots of water damage near woman's neck, possibly inherent to original painting; some minor abrasions within upper right corner, as well as a very tiny abrasion along the top left extreme edge.  Framed under glass to an overall size of 21.75 x 16.5 inches.
