The present work is published on pages 8-9 in the August 1972 issue of Analog Science Fiction pulp magazine. The work illustrates the Gordon Dickson story "The Pritcher Mass" which tells of a psychic forcefield constructed in space which serves as the only hope for humanity to survive after contamination has made the earth uninhabitable.
