Oblong quarto. 278 pages. Fully illustrated, including three folding plates, a tipped-in facsimile of the first dummy of Where the Wild Things Are, and a pop-up of a Red Riding Hood toy. Accompanied by the original publication notice. Bound in pictorial cloth with a transparent acetate jacket lettered in white, plain textured orange endpapers.

Morton Schindel, founder of the Western Woods Studio, was the driving force behind bringing Where the Wild Things Are to life as an animated film in 1973.

Condition: A touch of wear at corners, text block edges faintly toned. Publication notice with 70 mm tear through an outer edge. Otherwise, in fine condition.
