LITERATURE:
The Big Book for our Planet, New York, 1993, book cover.

The Big Book of our Planet, devoted to promoting a better global environment, is as timely and important a book today as it was released in 1993. An introduction by the editors stresses "that the Earth needs more clean water, fresh air, trees, bats, whales, and mushrooms--and less garbage, traffic, and pollution.'' Over forty artists and writers donated their talent to create a joyous commemoration of our planet, Earth. With humorous and delightful fiction and poetry as well as fascinating nonfiction selections, Chris Van Allsburg's wonderfully joyful cover perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this instant classic.

The present work is accompanied by a copy of The Big Book for our Planet.
