A Proto-Nazca Unfinished Embroidery Sampler for a Garment
Peru, c. 100 BC - 200 AD

A garment sampler or fragment with mythical figures in cross-knot loop stitch on plain weave cotton. The garment exemplifies the bold variety of colors typical of Nazca weaving. In very good condition, mounted to acid free linen and enclosed in an acrylic box.
