A Wari Stone Tablet
c. 700-1000 AD

Carved from a light green stone. Divided into four sections, each with square and rectangular cavities, the lower two sections centering longer rectangles. The upper panel centering a human head wearing a headband. Function of this object not known, but it resembles wood snuff trays from the same time and area. In very good condition, some surface scratches lower right side, a few rust stains from the mount on back. With a custom metal base.
