A Mezcala Stone Figure
Guerrero, Mexico, c. 500-100 BC

Carved from an attractive gray and white finely mottled serpentine stone. Legs cut deep and wide, arms held to abdomen. In very good, "as found" condition, with encrustations from underground context.

Height: 8 ¾ inches

More Information: The encrustation are mainly through the eyes and the back of the legs.
