A Diquis Gold Pendant
Costa Rica, c. 700 - 1400 AD

A dancing male holding a rattle in his proper right hand and a long stick that extends to his mouth in his left. He wears a notched headband with a pair of horns curling up to the sides from his crown. A large coil to each side of head. He is naked aside from a two-strand belt. Loop for suspension at back. A very handsome, relatively heavy, casting of high content gold alloy. In remarkably good condition.
