A Fine Jama Coaque Male Figure
    Ecuador, c. 500 BC - 500 AD

He holds a large spear-shaped staff in his left hand, wears a large bead necklace with two tooth-form human pendants, large earspools, two linked rings at his nose, plus a flat plaque attached to his chin. A horn or shell piece is lashed at top of his head. At his waist above the exposed genitals is a wing-shaped garment (?), and similar segmented bands appear on his legs. Examined under blacklight; assembled from approximately 10 large original parts, restoration over the repairs and to tip of horn at top.
