A Chancay Figure, cuchimilco
Peru, c. 1100-1400 AD

A standing male with prominent phallus, his hands emanating from his shoulders and held wide open. He wears striped paints (or body paint), a tunic with bird footprints, and a cap pointed at each side. Hollow earthenware painted in red-brown, black, and white pigments. In very good condition, some of the front and much of the back is scuffed with paint loss, hands scuffed on back.

More Information: In very good condition. No breaks, cracks or chips. Surface with dings and abrasions affecting the painted design. No apparent restoration.
