As men's magazines like Playboy encouraged a new level of maturity and sophistication in pin-up, a new market emerged for fine art nude painting from pin-up illustrators like Earl Moran. From the late 1950s through the early 1980s, Moran offered reclining nudes, often based on his former pin-up models (including a young Marilyn Monroe) to decorate the homes of discerning bachelors and the clubs they frequented.

Known within the collecting community as Barroom Nudes, pieces like Thank You are wonderful reflections of this period.
