The final version of the present work appears as a February 1947 Esquire calendar and also appears on page 33 of Varga: The Esquire Years by Reid Stewart Austin (Alfred van der Marck Editions, 1987). The final work was published with the following poem: Your Valentine. This costume's free of fancy frills, but I'm a lucky maid, it is bound to "steel" the heart of many a gay young blade.
