    About the Artist
    Jeremy Lock's experience as a seasoned photojournalist has led to his work being published in books, newspapers and magazines such as National Geographic, Time, New York Times, The Washington Post and many more. His work has earned multiple awards from prestigious organizations including World Press Photo, National Press Photographers Association, Oasis, among many others. During his adrenaline-filled career, Jeremy Lock was named Military Photojournalist of the Year seven times, awarded the Bronze Star Medal for distinguished service in Iraq, and documented battles, disasters, and everyday life in Afghanistan, Iraq, Japan, Haiti, Mongolia, and many other locations. jeremytlock.com

    About the Auction
    The ART FROM THE HEART Celebrity Art Auction & Benefit features artwork from prominent local and national celebrities, personalities, athletes, professional artists, young artists from Dallas Challenge youth programs and wearable art in the form of designer and fashion items. The event raises needed funds that support the programs that facilitate positive futures for youth. Online bidding is available April 6 - April 28, 2016 and the auction resumes at the live event Friday, April 29, 2016 at LOFTY SPACES, 816 Montgomery St., Dallas.

    If you are the highest bidder or placed a proxy bid at the close of the online portion of the auction, your online bid will be executed at the auction by a staff member. If you have the winning bid after the live event, a member of Heritage Auctions staff will contact you and the organization will be collecting payment.

    About the Organization

    Our mission is "to help youth stay in school, off drugs and alcohol, and out of the criminal justice system."

    Dallas Challenge is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health, education and welfare of youth from the greater Dallas area. Since 1984, we have been a leading provider of programs and services that have successfully steered over 170,000 children, teens and young adults away from destructive behaviors such as truancy, substance abuse, school failure and juvenile delinquency that were negatively impacting their lives.

    Dallas Challenge prides itself on dealing directly with the crucial issues that youth are faced with today.

    Current program components include:
    Drug, alcohol and tobacco prevention, education, intervention; and adolescent outpatient substance abuse treatment
    Assessment, screening and referral services
    Anger management
    Truancy prevention/intervention
    Family education and communication skills development
    Group and individual counseling
