A Rare and Important Mitchell 35mm Standard A Motion Picture Film Camera, designed 1919, circa 1940
17-1/2 h x 30 w x 16-1/2 d inches (44.5 x 76.2 x 41.9 cm)

The camera operates as either a hand crank or electric drive. Owned originally by RKO Radio Pictures and then owned and used by a Walt Disney Cinematographer in Hollywood for shooting film for Disney. These early Mitchell Standard motion picture cameras shot nearly all of the early movies in Hollywood and around the world since their introduction in 1919. This camera retains the original design hand crank capability and is in excellent original and working condition. It is a complete camera with accessories, lens, Mitchell original side finder, original hand crank, original and rare vintage Mitchell Geared Head, original vintage factory Standard Mitchell Wood Tripod and two film magazines. This hand crank camera is the iconic display piece of vintage Hollywood. One original RKO Pictures case is included. It has a look second to none and can be displayed in many number of ways in a home, office, studio, media room, collection, screening theatre or in an industrial environment.
