"Only in New York," as they say, is perhaps the only response you can imagine a passerby on Riverside Drive giving as they walked past Vivian Maier photographing this young girl bottle feeding her pet cat. It's at once a sweet image of childhood, and dramatically peculiar, which is one of the modes Maier excelled in. Dating to around 1952, this vintage print is an intriguing vintage example of Maier's work.
