Private collection, New York.
Manuel Álvarez Bravo, a self-taught photographer born in Mexico City, captured the world around him in surreal, symbol-laden imagery of Mexico between the World Wars. Álvarez Bravo, sometimes called the father of Mexican photography, intently focused on light and shadow in his work, making the everyday feel dreamlike and surreal. Álvarez Bravo also engaged with other Avant-Garde Surrealists such as André Breton and Frida Kahlo.

Overall excellent condition with no visible defects. Sheet is cornered to a window mat and framed under acrylic to 19 x 15 inches.
