    In Carroll's diary of June 22, 1874, he writes "On the 16th (Sat) Holiday arrived on a visit to me. On the 18th he fetched Xie Kitchin to be photographed, and I did a large one, full length lying on the sofa in a long night-gown, which Holiday arranged, about the best I have ever done of her."

    Condition Report*: Dry mounted to 6.5 x 4.25 inches, matted and framed under glass to 12 x 9.75 inches; this print remains in overall good condition, with a few tiny indents in the lower left corner visible only under raking light, and a pair of two faintly visible half-moon streaks through the girl's head and torso.
