    This lot includes the original chrome stand designed by Philippe Starck. This extremely large and lavish volume, weighing in at over 66 pounds, is -- according to Taschen -- 'the biggest and most expensive book production of the 20th century.' A landmark in the field of photography, presenting Newton's often controversial fashion, celebrity, and nude portrait work.

    Condition Report*: Dustjacket is slightly age-yellowed. Scattered soft and hard handling creases on dustjacket. Bumped dustjacket corners, some with losses. Curling and small tears at edges of dustjacket. Two large areas of loss on dustjacket over spine area. A horizontal tear leading to a circular loss on cover of dustjacket. Vertical scratch at lower left corner on front of dustjacket. A few additional hairline scratches and pinpoint losses to dustjacket. Cracked spine, some loose binding and page separation as a result. Pages are in overall good condition, with a few areas of toning, light scuffs, and creases throughout. A few scattered hairline scratches to sheets. Chrome stand is in overall good condition with a few minor scuffs and scratches.
