Titles include: Family between Dallas and Austin, Texas. The people have left their home and connections in South Texas, and hope to reach the Arkansas Delta for work in the cotton fields. Penniless people. No food and three gallons of gas in the tank. The father is trying to repair a tire. Three children. Father says, "It's tough but life's tough anyway you take it," 1936; Migrant agricultural worker's family. Seven hungry children. Mother aged thirty-two. Father is native Californian. Nipomo, California, 1936; Ex-tenant farmer on relief grant in the Imperial Valley, California, 1937; and, Farm Girls, Daughters of former sharecroppers holding a melon on the Mississippi Delta Cooperative Farm in Hillhouse, Mississippi, 1937.
