    Ansel Adams (American, 1902-1984)
    Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico, 1941
    Gelatin silver, late 1970s
    15-1/4 x 19-1/2 inches (38.7 x 49.5 cm)
Signed in pencil mount recto; signed and inscribed 'signed by Ansel Adams on new mount 5-6-81' with the title in ink by another hand mount verso.

The current owners acquired this work in the late 1970s. A few years later, they realized the print was slightly lifting from its original mount and met with Ansel Adams who personally re-mounted and signed the work at that time.
