Bright green Pargasite is embedded within the pure white marble on
this very eye-catching and hefty sculpture. "Luc Yen" is not as
specific as it seems, because the multiple quarries that produce
Pargasite are spread over a length of 12 kilometers. More than one
has Pargasite. The metamorphic process which gave rise to the
Pargasite also transformed the host Limestone into a crystalline
marble, exhibiting visible cleavage planes that give the piece a
sparkling, "frosty" appearance. The overall condition of this
museum-sized specimen is pristine, and it comes with a custom base
to secure the large example for display.
