These 30 variously-colored gem points are finely knapped and expertly made from chert, chalcedony, jasper, quartzite and flint. Exposure to the intense gamma radiation of the North African sun over thousands of years has given them a rich patina. They have been lightly burnished by the polishing action of the blowing hot and sandy Saharan winds. They are displayed in a 16¼ x 12¼ inch Riker mount, with the largest point measuring 2½ inches long.
