Collection of the artist, Sacramento, California;
Private collection, Sacramento, California, gift from the above;
By descent to the present owner.
EXHIBITED:
John Natsoulas Gallery, Sacramento, California, "Thiebaud at 99," October 30-November 30, 2019.
While teaching at Sacramento City College, the owner's late father happened to have as his student Betty Jean Thiebaud, the artist's wife, who later gave the present work as a gift to her beloved professor.

Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas. Very minor frame abrasion to the upper edge in the upper left corner. A very few instances of faint, finely patterned craquelure. A few pinpoint dots of accretion, possibly paint, in the upper left corner. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: modern pigments fluoresce as expected. No apparent retouching.
