PROVENANCE:
Private collection, Dearborn, Michigan.
Condition Report*:
Glue-lined canvas. Very little craquelure. Recent varnish. Under UV examination, the background drapery is strengthened throughout, extending 11 inches down from the top and across the picture plane. The figure's face and exposed neck, bodice and limbs are largely without any restoration. The white highlights in her satin dress are strengthened throughout. The middle and lower zones of the background have virtually no restoration. Framed Dimensions 50.5 X 37 X 4.75 Inches
