PROVENANCE:
Private collection, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
Thence by descent to the present owner.
Condition Report*:
Unlined canvas. Canvas is slightly slack at upper right and left corners. Scattered light craquelure, most evident in the figure. Under UV exam, there appear to be very few spots of inpaint, most notable being a 2-inch curved line in the upper right quadrant. Some pigments fluoresce differently under UV, but appear to be artist’s original pigment. Discolored varnish makes it difficult to detect any possible older restoration.
