Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. A small loss at left edge in upper left quadrant. Faint, finely patterned craquelure. A few scattered pinpoint dots of discolored accretion and minor drips of a slightly yellowed varnish. A small area of minor surface abrasion halfway up the rightmost window. Very minor surface dust. Not examined out of frame due to size.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Separate campaigns of restoration are apparent, one below the varnish layer and one above. Beneath the varnish layer, scattered strengthening appears applied to red/orange pigments throughout and to shadows of the figures' costumes at right and in lower left quadrant. Above the varnish layer, there is scattered brushy retouching at edges, finely applied dots and dashes of retouching to several panes of the leftmost window, and additional strengthening applied to pink pigments, the latter particularly affecting the female figures in the right side of the work.
Framed Dimensions 33 X 49.25 X 3.5 Inches
