SCALE MODEL FERRARI ARNO XI RACING HYDROPLANE
10-1/2 x 34 x 14 inches (26.7 x 86.4 x 35.6 cm)
Finely built and detailed 1.8 scale wooden model of the elegant vessel built on lake Como in the early 1950's after a design by Achille Castoldi. The Arno XI featured a Ferrari V12 engine and was raced in nummerous competitions until about 1960. Presented on display stand.
Provenance: Private Collection 2007. Museum acquisition 1232-2007
