San Ildefonso Blackware Pottery Olla
Height 12 1/2 in. Width 13 1/2 in.

This large, classic jar is decorated with negative feather and cloud forms above a frieze of angled rectangles, all painted in matte over a polished black ground. Unsigned.

Collected on San Geronimo Day, 1950, at Taos Pueblo.
