This is the cover for the paperback digest Farmer's Wife by Peggy Gaddis (Venus books #160/PBO, 1952): "Big-city and bold, she was dynamite in the hill country." The painting was also published as the digest cover for Carnival books #934 (1953) under the same title (using the same exact art and title blurb).

Mr. Nappi has confirmed that this painting is indeed in his hand.
