As one of Armstrong's most iconic works, this artwork appeared as a calendar illustration, on playing cards, as the cover for College Humor magazine, 1929, as an illustration in the book Pin Up Dreams, The Glamour Art of Rolf Armstrong and various advertisements; a collection of which are included with this lot.

PROVENANCE:
Formerly in the estate of Mike Wooldridge.

NOTE:
Mike Wooldridge was a lifetime collector and co-author of Pin Up Dreams, The Glamour Art of Rolf Armstrong by Janet Dobson and Mike Wooldridge, a monograph on Rolf Armstrong that was researched and enthusiastically compiled over many years. Wooldridge was one of the greatest scholars of Armstrong and deemed "Father of Pin-Up Artists."

Condition Report*: Light pin-point punctures on the center right and left edges as well as on the bottom center edge. One pin-point pierce to the right of the figure's head. Two light linear scratches to the right of figure's head. Possible light linear abrasion to the right of figure's nose. Not examined outside of frame. Framed under glass to an overall size of 35 x 45 inches. Frame has a depth of 3-inches.
