Reynold Brown painted scores of eerily compelling movie posters for such horror films as Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, This Island Earth, I Was a Teenage Werewolf, Tarantula, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, and Monster on the Campus. This piece was a prominent showpiece and featured at the Academy of Arts and Science's 1997 museum exhibition for Reynold Brown.

Before Steven Spielberg's phenomenal box office hit, "Jurassic Park," Universal made this excellent low budget movie about a hidden prehistoric land inhabited by dinosaurs. Among the creatures roaming this land were pterodactyls, plesiosaurus, man-eating plants, and the ferocious T-Rex. Some of the scenes in the film were borrowed from "The Secret Land," the 1948 documentary on the Richard E. Byrd Antarctic Expedition.

The copy for this movie poster painting was created on an acetate overlay, and is not glued to the art board.
