In Sunrise, Reveau Bassett has depicted an achingly beautiful sunrise over the forests of East Texas. The water reflects the intense colors shining through haunting forms of the trees. This landscape is a fine example of this artist's work. He has created an image which captures the intense, almost mystical beauty of a Texas region which has never received as much attention from artists as the Hill Country or the western parts of the state.
