Condition Report*:
Lined canvas. Extremely faint impressions at edges visible under raking light, most notably along upper edge, and likely related to re-stretching of canvas. Otherwise, there appear to be no major condition issues affecting the work. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces evenly. A few scattered, very finely applied dots and dashes of retouching, primarily in the background of the work.
Please note that this work was treated by the Chicago Conservation Center in 1988, at which point it was retouched, re-stretched, and lined using BEVA adhesive.
