Height 2 3/4 in. Diameter 6 in.

This small, tightly coiled, round basket is decorated with a pattern of stepped triangles staggered from base to rim and back. These finely made gift baskets were in great demand by collectors during the height of their popularity (1890-1915). Many collectors sought baskets that demonstrated the weavers artistic sensibilities rather than traditional utilitarian examples.
