NOTE:
A student of his well known father, Paul Lecomte Sr, Paul Emile Lecomte was a highly regarded painter in his own right. He specialized in potraits, streetscapes, marine paintings, and watercolors. He studied at the Cormon a l'École des Beaux-Arts de Paris and performed various commissions for the ministère de la Marine. He exhibited in the Salon des Artistes Français where he received a medal in 1902.
