PROVENANCE:
Private collection, Venice, Florida.
Condition Report*:
Glue-lined canvas. Two scratches measuring about 1 inch in length left of the fountain (only one of which fluoresces under UV examination). Older varnish. Under UV examination: Strengthened male figure to the right of the fountain (can be seen in daylight as well), as well as small touches in the faces of the cluster of women. A 1" spot and a 2" x 1 1/2" patch of strenthening in the leaves of the trees in upper middle of composition. There are a couple spots of restoration which fluoresce along the bottom of the canvas.
