We wish to thank Claudine Dyf for kindly confirming the authenticity of this painting, which is registered in the Marcel Dyf archives under no. 282.
Condition Report*:
Canvas is unlined. Minor cracking and lifting in areas of high impasto. Under UV, there appear to be approx. 3-inch lines of inpaint along the edges in the upper right corner, two tiny touches at top center, a 4-inch line along the right edge at center that extends into the background approx.. 1-inch in two places. Two areas of inpaint on the tabletop near the resting flower, approx.. 3-inch and 1-inch, 2 spots in the background to left of vase, scattered spots throughout vase and in bouquet. Black pigments fluoresce under UV, but appear to mostly be artist’s original pigment.
