Condition Report*:
Double lined canvas. Frame abrasion at edges with a few instances of associated gilding transfer. Yellowing to the varnish layer. Finely patterned craquelure throughout. Lifting to the back of the figure's proper right hand, the background to the left of her ear, and to the top of her hair. A few small losses to to the top of her hair. Not examined out of frame.
Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly. Scattered brushy retouching to the edges and background, particularly to the foliage at left. A few finely applied dots of retouching to the figure, in her hair and on her proper right cheek.
