Lucinda Hinojos (La Morena) channels her art through activism and cultural healing. Drawing inspiration from her Chicana and Native ancestry-Chiricahua Apache, Pima, and Yaqui-her murals are bold, symbolically rich, and deeply personal. Hinojos uses art as a means of social justice, addressing themes of displacement, oppression, and empowerment. Her signature use of bright, expressive colors reflects both cultural pride and spiritual intent. Through her murals, including a recent dedication to "Dreamers," she promotes awareness and resilience while celebrating the strength of marginalized communities.
