Lot of 4 Assorted Philippine Tools & Four Assorted African Ethnographic Spearpoints. The four assorted Philippine tools comprising of: 1) Matched Pair Brass Ceremonial Swords. 22-inch, curved, etched blade. Long brass ferrule, hardwood grip with brass pommel. 2) Barong and Scabbard. 17-inch curved blade with oval flat brass guard, incised brass ferrule on hardwood grip. Contained in two-piece hardwood, carved scabbard. 3) Cloth Knife. 16-inch straight blade. Brass and hardwood grip. 4) Hunting Knife. 8-inch clip point blade. Brass ferrule. Carved hardwood grip. Condition: 1) Good. Light age wear and patina. 2) Poor to fair. Heavy age wear and scratches on blade. Excellent edge. Scabbard in need of restoration. Loose wraps and cracks. Losses to back edge. 3) Good with moderate age wear and patina. Spotting and one nick on blade. Dent to grip. 4) Fair. Blade with patches of heavy pitting. Grip fine. The balance of the lot is comprised of four assorted African tools include hunting points. One is a narrow, wire like spear with coiled ends, probably for fishing. The others are hand forged steel blades with incised linework. All are probably from the Zaire tribes of central Africa. Condition: All are good, showing age wear, pitting and dark patina.
